Debra Hayward is a British film producer. As Head of Film at Working Title Films Debra frequently served as an executive producer for the company's feature films, working alongside fellow Working Title executive Liza Chasin. Debra has now started her own production company called Monumental Pictures and is currently working as a producer on the upcoming musical film Les Miserables with Tom Hooper.
Debra Hayward joined Working Title Films in 1989, working as a producer’s assistant on films that include as Fools of Fortune and Dakota Road. She later became a development executive, and produced several films that include London Kills Me and Map of the Human Heart.[1] Hayward is currently a Head of Film executive for Working Title, creatively responsible for the company’s entire slate of feature films in conjunction with her American counterpart, Liza Chasin.[2] Both Hayward and Chasin have served as executive producers on films that include Bridget Jones's Diary, Atonement and The Boat That Rocked. In fall 2009, Hayward became a "Friendly Producer" for The Script Factory, a filmmakers' organization devoted to helping young screenwriters in the writing and production process of a screenplay.[1]. More recently Hayward has worked on critically acclaimed hits 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Senna. September 2011 sees the launch of her new production company Monumental Pictures.
